To qualify for any prize or incentive funds of any kind, nonprofit organizations must meet eligibility requirements and must have an approved and completed Giving Day Profile by November 11, 2016, to participate in GA Gives Day 2016:

1.  Eligible organizations are defined as any organization qualified by the IRS as a 501(c)(3) and registered with the Georgia Secretary of State.
2.  Government agencies are not eligible to participate.
3.  Organizations must have a physical location/mailing address in Georgia and must be providing services in the state.
4. All nonprofit organizations participating in Georgia Gives Day are expected to honor and model the highest levels of ethics in fundraising. For a comprehensive Code of Ethics for fundraising, please review the Association of Fundraising Professionals’ ethics codes, or find additional resources at The Foundation Center.

General Rules and Regulations

1.  Georgia Gives Day begins on November 17, 2016 at 12:00AM and ends at 11:59 PM on November 17, 2016.
2.  Gifts received from October 17th up until November 17th will count toward the day’s totals in terms of prize calculations
3.  Donors who opt to make a donation anonymously will not be eligible for Golden Ticket Prizes because we will be unable to announce a winner should they be chosen.
4.  Prizes will be tracked and listed throughout the day on www.gagivesday.org; however, regardless of listing or announcements made on the day, all prizes are subject to verification after the event concludes and may be reversed up to 45 days after the event.
5.  GA Gives Day will verify all prizes prior to payment.  GA Gives Day will strive to make prize payments within 60 days unless verification takes longer.  If for some reason the verification process takes longer than 60 days, we will notify the nonprofit(s) or donor(s) impacted.
6.  Some prizes are calculated by counting the number of unique donors to an organization over a period of time.  A unique or distinct donor is defined as a single individual or entity that made his/her donation online via the gagivesday.org website and is identified via a unique email address.  For purposes of awarding prizes, multiple donations from one donor to the same nonprofit will count as one gift (and thus he/she/it will count as one unique donor).
7.  There is a $25 minimum gift size to qualify for prizes related to donor counts (Most Donors, Power Hours) and for Golden Tickets.
8.  Golden Tickets are limited to one per donor
9.  Organizations cannot donate to themselves, but may use their own funds as challenge or matching funds.
10.  Donations may not be used to pay for anything that might be perceived as a material benefit to the donor including memberships, admission tickets, payments for tuition, payments for event tickets, etc.
11.  Incentive funds are exclusive to qualifying agencies. GA Gives Day reserves the right to verify qualifying information and revoke, change or award prizes at its discretion.
12.  All time specific prizes are calculated via time-stamped data.

#Unselfie competition

We’re bringing back the #Unselfie and asking everyone to get creative and do some social sharing about why they give, and win up to $500 for you, their favorite nonprofit.

Here's how it works:
1. Between now and November 11th, everyone (that includes donors, staff, board members, social followers and and volunteers) can take a selfie that shows why they’re planning to give to your nonprofit.

2. They should include our hashtags: #GAgivesday #Unselfie

3. Then, they post it to their Facebook, Twitter, or Instagram, including both hashtags in their post: #GAgivesday and #Unselfie (That way, we can easily find them and share through the GA Gives Day Facebook, Twitter, and Instagram).

4. On the week of November 14th, we’ll post a gallery of our top ten finalists on Facebook and count on our followers to vote for their favorite with a Like.

5. The top three nonprofits will receive a donation in their name-- $500 for 1st place, $150 for 2nd and $100 for 3rd.

We'd like to thank our friends at Popmoney for their support of these prizes!
