WHO ARE WE?
Théâtre du Rêve (Theater of the Dream) is the only Francophone theater company in the United States. Based in Atlanta, we are a small but mighty team of theater artists and educators dedicated to spreading live theater, French language, and Francophone culture to art lovers and students of all ages.
WHAT DO WE DO?
TdR produces original and internationally collaborative works, revisits classics, and pushes Atlanta’s cultural boundaries by partnering with fellow movers and shakers in the arts and education. We have two touring shows, Fables Fantastiques! and Jane le renard et moi (Jane, the Fox and Me), that are ideal for a wide range of ages and French levels, and adaptable to almost any space: theaters, classrooms, etc. TdR also offers theater-based educational workshops, and a training workshop for educators who want to incorporate theater practices into their curriculum.
WHY DO WE MATTER?
TdR is the only theater company focusing on French theater in the US. We are pushing the boundaries of new theater, and constantly looking for ways to offer beneficial educational services to help children learn and develop. We have served over 8,000 students from across the United States through our workshops, student matinee performances and educational programming, and that number only continues to grow thanks to YOUR help.
HOW ARE WE FUNDED?
TdR relies on grants and individual donations. Without help from generous friends and supporters, we simply cannot do what we are so passionate about doing: making theater relevant and accessible in the 21st century. WE CANNOT DO IT WITHOUT YOU.
WHY SHOULD YOU HELP?
Because we really care about what we do and will always make sacrifices to do it. Because learning a second language at a young age has been proven to help with early development. Because we've seen shy kids who participate in our summer theater camp and workshops transform into confident children with the power to thrill and amuse their audience. And because we are the only company in the entire country striving to advance knowledge of Francophone culture through the world of theater.

A Little Literature
BRINGING BILINGUAL THEATER TO ATL
“I hear about confidence boosts, I have parents tell me that they were blown away by how much their child blossomed in just one week…it’s really rewarding.”
SCIENCE SAYS LIVE THEATER IS GOOD FOR STUDENTS
"Field trips to live theater enhance literary knowledge, tolerance and empathy among students, according to a study published this week by researchers in the University of Arkansas Department of Education Reform."
