WHAT IS POWER OVER PREJUDICE?
"A proud recipient of the Wells Fargo Days of Giving campaign."

Help us STOP STEREOTYPES and educate youth to respect and embrace differences among all people. We host a three day learning experience; assembling more than 750 students and 160 school counselors from across the Metro-Atlanta area.

The POWER is in our POP Middle School Students. Since 1997, the APC has promoted its Power Over Prejudice (POP) programs; training over 12,000 middle school students and 1000 school counselors. Our students are nominated by their schools to attend the POP Summit and recieve certification as POP Student Ambassadors.

The POWER is with our POP Schools and Counselors. Each year, we are encouraged by the increasing number of students we have an opportunity to reach with our programs. After the Summit, students are to take their learned tools back to peers and work with their counselor to launch a POP program at their schools.

The POWER is because of our dedicated POP Volunteers and Facilitators. We train volunteers as facilitators to guide students through learning activities, group discussions, and diversity experiences intended to increase awareness of how to deal with prejudice, stereotyping, and violence in their middle schools.

To achieve our mission of Power Over Prejudice, become a fundraiser using the sponsor levels to the right.
