There are thousands of children just like Jake, who have taken their first steps, or said their first words, through the help of Easter Seals North Georgia’s Early Intervention Program.  You can be a partner in helping children just like Jake get the early intervention they need by donating to Easter Seals North Georgia.

The early years, especially the first three years of life are very important for building the baby’s brain. Everything he or she sees, touches, tastes, smell or hears helps to shape the brain for thinking, feeding, moving and learning.  All children need positive early learning experiences to foster their intellectual, social and emotional development and lay the foundation for later school success. Children living in high-risk environments need additional supports to promote their healthy growth and development

Early Intervention programs, such as Easter Seals North Georgia’s Babies Can’t Wait Program minimize and in some cases prevent delays in development. These services can decrease the need for special education when a child enters school and increase a child’s independence.  Easter Seals provides physical, occupational and speech therapy, service coordination, special instruction to more than 1000 children with disabilities.

Easter Seals Early Education and Care Program provides comprehensive  supports to more than 1300 children  who are  living in poverty,  ages 6 weeks to five years living in metro Atlanta and Northeast Georgia. Children attend our Early education program and receive medical, dental, education, mental health, disability, and nutrition services.  This Program’s Outcomes, shows the success of delivering high quality early education to our most vulnerable children in Georgia…. More than 92% graduate PreK with at or above average skills ready to meet with success when they enter Kindergarten.
