With an approach focused on students’ strengths and resources, GVP demonstrates how adolescent English Language Learners with limited and interrupted education can be highly successful students and empowered citizens. GVP aims to provide an exemplary model of excellent and equitable education for newcomer refugee learners.
For 8 years now, Global Village Project has provided free, high-quality education to refugee girls, aged 11-18, in a caring community, using a strengths-based approach, and integrating intensive English instruction and arts education across the curriculum.
GVP is a full-day school providing language-rich instruction, an excellent arts and music program, transportation, lunch and an after-school enrichment program to 39 students with interrupted education from over 11 countries. Our school is multicultural, multilingual, and a welcoming place for all.
