Nonprofits that work on animal causes range from conservation and education groups studying or preserving species to those dealing with strays and sheltering abandoned pets. Georgia is a leader in the study and preservation of whale sharks, kangaroos, Gorillas and a number of endangered birds that benefit from our fundraising and research. Feral cats decimate migrating bird populations and are controlled via spay and neuter programs. Distressed families and victims of disaster rely on shelters for short or long term solutions for beloved pets. Other groups study diseases that impact or spread through animal populations. Still others provide canine assistants for the blind and disabled.
Why you should give: $15 neuters one cat; $75 spays one dog; $150 pays adoption costs for one dog; $500 helps provide habitat preservation for black bears; $1000 helps train a canine assistant for a disabled Georgian.
