At the center of our philosophy is our commitment to inclusion. Annually we serve over 250 children - 1/3 of whom have a developmental disability - between the ages of 6 weeks and 5 years in our inclusive Child Development Program, and over 130 adults of all ages with developmental disabilities participate in our Adult Program. We are one of only a few inclusive early education programs in metro Atlanta, and are unique in supporting both children and adults with disabilities to reach their full potential.
gather • learn • flourish
Adult participants range in age from 18 to 70 years old, some of whom have been coming to Frazer for over 25 years. The adults work on developing life skills, volunteer in the community, and participate in real world experiences in an equal, inclusive setting. With our support, local businesses, such as Home Depot, Clifton Sanctuary Ministries, Panera Bread and more, employ over 30 adults with developmentally disabilities. Our goal is to individualized life goals and develop skills to allow for the maximum growth and independence of all participants.
Child Development Program
Our Child Development Program is accredited by the National Association for the Education of Young Children (NAEYC) and is recognized in the community as a high quality, inclusive program serving children six weeks to five years old. Children benefit from being in a supportive, challenging and stimulating environment with instruction that addresses their individual uniqueness and developmental stages. All students are provided an opportunity to develop an appreciation for those at all levels of abilities, while engaging in peer tutoring and strengthening their own skills.
