The Atlanta Track Club (ATC) is a nonprofit created to inspire and engage people of all ages and abilities to lead healthier and more active lifestyles through running. Founded in 1964, the ATC is now the second largest running organization in the United States serving over 18,000 runners and walkers throughout metro Atlanta and beyond. For many, the ATC's programs like the Kilometer Kids
youth running program and its over 30 running events each year, including the AJC Peachtree Road Race and the Atlanta Marathon and Atlanta Half Marathon, serve as a stepping stone on the road to becoming healthy and fit.
Along with supporting the Atlanta Track Club Foundation, the ATC donated nearly $250,000 in 2011 to various metro Atlanta organizations including Piedmont Park Conservancy, Grady Health Foundation, Children's Healthcare of Atlanta, as well as through programs like Adopt a Marathon Mile.
